Srinagar, Mar 12: National Conference (NC) leader and MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar on Wednesday said that central government should reconsider ban on Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Awami Action Committee (AAC) and Masroor Abbas Ansari’s Jammu & Kashmir Ittihadul Muslimeen (JKIM).

“The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is always advocating Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas and according to this dogma every walk of life should be included into it. The ban on AAC and JKIM is not a good step and should be reconsidered,” NC leader Salman Sagar told reporters outside Assembly secretariat in Jammu.

NC legislator Salman Sagar also criticised BJP for political hypocrisy. “They (BJP) often criticize dynastic politics but have themselves formed alliances with the PDP when it suited them,” he remarked.

When asked about the ongoing power cuts in Srinagar during Ramadan and the hardships faced by residents, he stated that he has raised the issue with the concerned authorities. "I have raised the matter, and honorable members have supported it. The issue will be resolved at the earliest," he assured.
