“The Modi government rebuilt J&K, ending an era of terrorism and violence. The Modi government gave wings to the development of J&K by rolling out massive infrastructure and welfare schemes, and today it stands as a proud testimony to Bharat’s powerful democracy,” Shah said.

About the rich cultural heritage of J&K, Shah emphasised the Centre’s commitment to reviving J&K’s ancient traditions.

He accused dynastic politics of hindering the region’s development, asserting that under PM Modi’s leadership, the Panchayati Raj system had been strengthened to ensure grassroots development.

“With the abolition of Article 370, the Modi government has secured the dignity of life in Kashmir by crushing terrorism with a zero-tolerance policy,” Shah said, highlighting the positive impact of the government’s decisions on the region.

A post from the Home Minister’s office echoed similar sentiments, noting the prolonged struggle of J&K with terrorism and extremism.

“The government’s actions, including the abolition of Article 370, have brought about peace and stability, paving the way for development and prosperity,” the post mentioned.

It emphasised, “In a notable achievement, not a single incident of stone pelting took place in J&K in 2023, underscoring the success of the government's efforts in
maintaining peace and security.”

The Home Minister's office said that the restoration of the Panchayati Raj system had ushered in a new era of development, placing governance in the hands of the people and propelling J&K towards progress and prosperity.
