CEC LAHDC Kargil calls on Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

Kargil, Dec 6: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Dr Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon called on Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi.

He discussed with the Minister various issues about infrastructural development in Kargil. Dr Jaffer submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister. During the meeting, the CEC Kargil thanked the Union Minister on behalf of people of Kargil for taking the Zojila Tunnel project and expected early completion of the project. CEC also discussed the need for e Ropeway Project in Kargil Town and requested for early sanctioning of roads and bridges under CRIF, submitted in the ministry and opening of Panikhar-Pahalgam road. CEC Dr Jaffer also briefed the Union Minster about various development projects undergoing in the district and expected that the Union Government will start more road and infrastructure works in the district in the future.
