CCAK condemns killing of tourists in Pahalgam

Srinagar, Apr 23: The Coaching Centres Association of Kashmir (CCAK) has condemned yesterday's attack in Pahalgam that resulted in the deaths of several tourists.

In a statement released today, the CCAK expressed "profound sorrow" over the incident, describing it as a "heartbreaking" event that targeted innocent visitors to the region.

"Kashmir, the land of Sufi saints and centuries-old traditions of tolerance, has always been revered for its hospitality and communal harmony," the statement read. "The killing of those who came to our homeland with trust is not just a crime—it is an assault on Kashmir itself."

The organisation, which represents educational coaching centres throughout the Kashmir Valley, emphasised that the attack appears designed to disrupt the hard-earned peace in Jammu and Kashmir and damage the region's tourism industry.

"As representatives of the education sector, we shape young minds with values of harmony and respect," the statement continued. "The Coaching Centres Association of Kashmir reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a generation that believes in coexistence and peace."

The CCAK extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and called on authorities to take swift action against those responsible for the attack.

"Justice must be delivered—for the victims' families and for Kashmir's conscience," the statement asserted.

The association concluded by reaffirming that the violence does not represent the true spirit of Kashmir, stating: "Our resolve to protect our traditions of hospitality and brotherhood has only grown stronger."
