CBSE declares class 10th, 12th results

J&K’s CBSE affiliated schools produce 98.71%, 94.45% results

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday Friday declared the result of class 10th and 12th examinations. The overall pass percentage of J&K's CBSE affiliated schools in class 10th result stands at 98.71 percent while the pass percentage of students in class 12 is 94.45 percent.

The pass percentage of Boys in class 10th has been recorded as Boys 98.22 percent while the pass percentage of girls is 99.36 percent.

Similarly in class 12th, the pass percentage of Boys 92.67 percent and girls is 96.79 percent.

As per the official statistics produced by CBSE, around 12689 students- Boys 7196 and Girls 5493 from J&K's CBSE affiliated schools had registered for the class 10th exams out of which 12660 students--Boys 7177 and Girls appeared in the exams. As many as 12497 students-- Boys 7049 and Girls 5448 have qualified the exams.

Also, as many as 8829 students-Boys 5014 and Girls 3815 had registered for the CBSE class 12th exam out of which 8797 students- Boys 4991 and Girls 3806 appeared and 8309 students-Boys 4625 and Girls 3684 have qualified it.

These CBSE affiliated schools from J&K include Government aided, Government schools, Independent schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV).

The CBSE class 10th and 12th exams were held from February 15 to March 24 of (2024) this year.

Last year, around 24480 students across India had taken up the class 10th exams while this year the number of students was 25724. Last year the number of exam centres was 7241 which increased to 7603 this year.

The number of students writing the exams in class 12th was 16728 in 2023 while the number of exam centres was 6759. This year the number of students was 18417 who appeared in the exam in 7126 exam centres.

The overall percentage at national level has been recorded as 93.65 percent this year as compared to 93.12% of 2023.

Last year the overall pass percentage of girls was 94.25 percent which has remained 94.75 percent this year in class 10th across India. Similarly, the pass percentage of Boys was 92.27 percent in academic session 2023 which has improved to 92.71

The pass percentage of government aided CBSE schools in J&K for class 10th has been recorded as 97.74 percent, Government schools (99.71%), Independent schools (98.12%), JNV (99.06%), KV (99.42%).

The pass percentage of government aided CBSE schools in J&K for class 12th has been recorded as 91.70 percent, Government schools (96.98%), Independent schools (92.76%), JNV (96.55%) and KV (99.38%) respectively.

In Srinagar, the Doon School has produced 100 percent results in class 10th and 12th. Around 40 students appeared in class 10th CBSE exams and 25 students appeared in class 12th exams.
