CBI raids underway at office of Labour Secretary at Civil Secretariat Srinagar

Srinagar, February 19: The raids by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are currently underway at the office of Labour Secretary at Civil Secretariat Srinagar.

The CBI team from Chandigarh and Srinagar are carrying out searches at the office of Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Secretary of Labour and Employment Development, said a report by Srinagar based news gathering agency KDC.

The report quoted top sources as saying that the raid is part of an ongoing investigation into a corruption case registered under FIR no RC0512025S0003 on February 17, 2025. The inquiry into the case was started in the year 2006, the report added.

A case has been filed under the Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act and the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
