Casual labourers united front calls on Mehbooba Mufti

Jammu, Oct 31: A delegation of the Casual Labourers United Front called on the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, at the party office in Jammu.

The delegation apprised the PDP President about the pressing issues faced by thousands of casual labourers across various departments, including long-pending regularisation, delay in wages, and job insecurity, said a press release.

Mehbooba Mufti gave a patient hearing to their grievances and assured the delegation that the PDP will continue to raise their genuine demands both within and outside the Assembly, emphasising that the rights and dignity of workers must be protected, it added.
