CASOs continue in Reasi, Rajouri
Rajouri, June 12: Intensive Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) in parts of Reasi and Rajouri districts entered the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday with forces making attempts to track the attackers involved in the attack on a bus carrying Shiv Khori yatris.
The attack took place on June 9 with nine people including seven yatris killed in this attack while 43 yatris got injured.
In the investigation of the case so far, it is suspected that two to three terrorists used automatic weapons to attack the bus of yatris that fell in a gorge after the driver was hit with a volley of bullets.
The attack site, Kanda Reasi district is 5 km from the last boundary of Rajouri and security agencies believe that the attackers could have escaped either towards Rajouri or in Reasi villages and forests.
Meanwhile, the CASO launched after the attack entered its fourth consecutive day with joint teams of Army, Police, and CAPF carrying out searches and area domination in villages as well as dense forests.
However, there was no clue regarding the attackers when the last reports were received.
Officials said questioning of many locals is going on.
