CASOs continue at many places in Rajouri

Rajouri, June 14:  Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) by security forces continued at many places in Rajouri district on Friday .

A fresh alert has been sounded after suspected movement of two person in areas of Nowshera sub division. The security arrangements were tightened in the district earlier after recent attack on Shiv Khori pilgrims in Reasi in which nine people lost their lives and 43 sustained injuries.

Security forces are trying to track the attackers, believed to be two to three, who ambushed a bus carrying pilgrims . The bus fell in a gorge at Kanda Morh in Reasi's Pouni tehsil after it was fired upon.

In entire area of Rajouri district that shares boundary with Reasi district areas where attack happened, CASOs is going on since the day of attack. Area Domination Patrols, MVCPs, ambushes as well as search operations are going on in areas of suspicion that primarily include notorious infiltration routes and forest areas.

On the other hand, a fresh alert has been sounded in areas of Nowshera sub division after two suspects were seen roaming in areas who could be terrorists.

Official sources said that in Kalal area close to Line of Control in Nowshera, these two suspects were seen near forest area after which a CASO was launched two days ago that is still going on.

Alongside, they said, a fresh CASO has been launched in areas of Lamberi police post and Dharamsal police station after a similar suspicious movement report.

These CASOs were going on when last reports were received.
