CASOs continue across Rajouri, Reasi areas
Rajouri, June 23: Massive Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) by security forces in areas of Rajouri and Reasi district continued on Sunday also.
These anti- terror operations were launched after June 9 terror attack on bus of pilgrims at Kanda Morh, Reasi . Nine person including seven passengers had lost their lives while 43 pilgrims had received injuries.
The bus, after been fired upon by terrorists, fell in roadside gorge.
A massive anti- operation was launched soon after this attack to track the attackers. The operation was further divided into two parts that include operations in areas of Rajouri district bordering incident site of Reasi and operations in areas of Reasi district where attack took place.
From last two weeks, officials said, these operations both in Reasi and Rajouri district areas are going on with security forces trying to track the terrorists, believed to be three in number, who were involved in the attack.
The officials said that the both in Rajouri and Reasi district areas, massive CASOs are going on with joint teams of Police, SoG, Army and CAPF are carrying out anti terror operations especially in dense forest covers and upper reaches.
They said that on Sunday, these operations were conducted in over six locations of Reasi district and at similar number of places in Rajouri.
Earlier, J&K Police in Reasi claimed to have arrested a man namely Hakam Din resident of Bandrai of Sunderbani in Rajouri who assisted terrorists in terms of providing shelter, food and also guided them to reach at attack site.
On the other hand, the police on Sunday detained another man from Bandrai Reasi whose name has come forward during questioning from the arrested terror facilitator Hakam Din.
The case of this attack has already been handed over to NIA.
