CASOs across Rajouri amid security high alert

Rajouri, June 19: Security forces on Wednesday continued searches in different areas of border district Rajouri.

Security forces in this district and other parts of Pir Panjal region have already been put on hjihj alert especially after June 10 attack on pilgrims of Shiv Khori shrine that took place at Kanda Morh in Ransoo police station jurisdiction of Reasi district.

Official sources said that security forces are conducting massive Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) in areas across Rajouri district especially those which are considered as sensitive in terms of infiltration and movement of terrorists.

Alongside, the areas that share boundaries with Reasi district have also been put under close vigil with massive CASOs are going on in the areas.

In Poonch district also, security forces on Wednesday continued their search operation in areas of Surankote after yesterday's incident of exchange of fire.

On Tuesday evening, terrorists reportedly fired at a team of Special Operation Group (SoG) which was searching the areas of forest in Dair area of Surankote sub division.

Reinforcement of army and police was rushed to the site after this exchange with searches in the area are going on.
