Srinagar, Apr 29:   National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah today said that his party is carrying forward its fight against BJP in elections without any fear.

He was talking to media persons at Charar-e-Sharief. Omar paid obeisance at the revered shrine of Aalamdar-e-Kashmir Sheikh Noor-Ud-Din Noorani (RA) there. He was asked by media about the allegation of opposition parties that BJP is using its agencies to frighten the opposition in elections." We are not scared. If we were scared then we would have become mouthpiece of BJP. We are fighting against BJP. But it is also a fact that over 90 percent cases registered by these agencies are against opposition leaders. If any opposition leader supports BJP he gets respite in such cases. Take the example of Maharashtra deputy chief minister Pawar. When he is against BJP, there are cases against him. When he supports BJP, no cases are there," Omar said.

He stated that BJP leadership is unnerved with the present election situation in the country that is why they are making statements like that on “Mangal Sutra" or “Muslim League.” “Recently a BJP leader said that Muslims are trying to grab the land of Hindus. There are clear cut directions in the election model conduct of code that polls cannot he contested by targeting communities," NC; leader said.
