Carry forward legacy of harmony, mutual respect: CM Omar
Srinagar, Oct 30: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Wednesday urged people to carry forward Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA)’s legacy of harmony and mutual respect.
Paying his respects at the shrine of Charar-e-Sharief, commemorating the Urs of Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA), the venerated saint and spiritual guide of Jammu and Kashmir popular as Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA), the CM in his message emphasised the timeless message of unity and compassion that Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA) imparted and urged all to carry forward his legacy of harmony and mutual respect.
On this auspicious occasion, CM Omar offered prayers for enduring peace and prosperity, and strengthening bonds of brotherhood across J&K.
Accompanying the CM were the Minister for Rural Development, Javid Ahmad Dar and Advisor to Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani.
Together, they participated in the Urs, honouring the life and teachings of Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani (RA), known for his contributions to the spiritual heritage of the region.
