Carpenter found dead in Baramulla

Baramulla, May 23: A carpenter was found dead at his rented accommodation in Delina village of north Kashmirís Baramulla district on Thursday.

He was identified as Ashwani Kumar, 34, son of Jeet Lal of Gurdaspur, Punjab.

An official said that the carpenter, Kumar, residing at a rented accommodation at Parraypora, Delina, was found in an unconscious state on Thursday night.

He said soon after receiving the information, a Police team rushed to the area and immediately shifted the unconscious carpenter to Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Following the incident, Police in Baramulla took cognisance of the incident and started an investigation to ascertain the cause of death.
