Canon Invitational Football Tournament: DPS Srinagar, TBS enter final

Srinagar, Sep 19: Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar and Tyndale Biscoe School (TBS) sealed their places in the final of the 4th C.E. Canon Invitational Football Tournament after registering wins in the semifinals played at the TBS Main Field on Friday.

As per a statement, the matches were graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, The Rt Revd Manoj Charan, Bishop of the Diocese of Amritsar and Chairman of the TBMS Society, and The Rt Revd Neena Charan, Bishop of the Diocese of Bhopal. The chief guest encouraged the players and appreciated the sportsmanship on display.

In the first semi-final, DPS Srinagar faced St Joseph’s Baramulla in a highly competitive clash. Both teams displayed remarkable energy and fighting spirit, but DPS Srinagar emerged victorious by 4-2, securing their spot in the finals. Ayaan Bilal of DPS Srinagar was declared man of the match.

The second semi-final featured Tyndale Biscoe School (TBS) against SRM Welkin Sopore. With outstanding teamwork and spirited gameplay, TBS outclassed their opponents, thereby winning the crucial match by 3-1 and booking their position in the grand finale.
