Campaign held under ‘Sewa Parv’ in Budgam
Srinagar, Oct 1: As part of Sewa Parv 2025, a plantation drive and cleanliness campaign was successfully conducted at Gurdwara Hiwadoor Budgam with participation from Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Hiwadoor and other members of the Sikh community, students and teachers of Government Primary School Hiwadoor, and officials of the Soil and Water Conservation Department district Budgam.
A statement issued here said that these initiatives aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, instilling a sense of responsibility, and creating awareness about the importance of a clean and green environment. During the plantation drive, a large number of saplings were planted in and around the premises of Gurdwara, symbolising the commitment to increasing green cover and combating climate change.
A cleanliness drive was carried out to maintain hygiene, ensure proper waste management, and spread the message of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, it said.
The events not only reflected the spirit of collective service but also highlighted the values of social responsibility and community welfare.
