CAIT urges PM Modi for swift implementation of E-commerce policy

Srinagar, Jan 5: The Confederation of All India Traders ( CAIT) in a communication sent today to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has made an urgent request for early rollout of E-commerce Policy and the Rules under Consumer Protection Act.

A statement said that CAIT while referring to certain  media reports, said that “it is learnt that both e commerce policy and the rules are to be vetted by you, which is essential, in the larger interest of the trade and Country”

CAIT National President B C Bhartia and Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that recognising  the transformative impact of e-commerce on our economy, we believe that a comprehensive and well-structured policy is imperative which will surely abrogate the uneven level playing filed created by major e commerce companies.
