Srinagar, Apr 20: In a proactive move to address the burdensome licensing process for businesses in the retail sector, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) Kashmir unit, under the leadership of Farhan Kitab, engaged in a productive discussion during the Viksit Bharat Ambassador Programme with Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Puri. The session highlighted the pressing issue of multiple licenses required to operate businesses, which hinder the growth and efficiency of the retail sector.

During the interactive session, CAIT Kashmir proposed the implementation of a single license system linked to Aadhar, simplifying the process for businesses to operate and ensuring compliance with regulations. Minister Shri Puri responded positively to the suggestion, acknowledging the need for reform in the licensing framework to promote ease of doing business. In his assurance to the organization, Minister Puri expressed commitment to addressing the issue promptly, emphasizing the government's dedication to fostering a conducive environment for business growth and development in Kashmir.
