CAG Team commends PMTC’s innovative approach to training, development
Srinagar, Oct 31: The CAG team during the week long tour visited several centres of PMTC KVIC Pampore at Ganderbal and Anantnag to assess their functioning.
During the tour, the team commended the PMTC’s Innovative Approach to Training and Development. They appreciated the efforts of KVIC team and said that such efforts must continue in the future also for giving opportunities to women folk for giving their life a right direction, said an official statement.
Principal PMTC, Anil Kumar Sharma briefed the team about the functioning of these centres. He informed that PMEGP (Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme) has been making waves in empowering entrepreneurs like Tawheeda. He added that PMEGP has emerged as a flagship initiative supporting entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
In the meantime the Principal of PMTC, KVIC Pampore, Anil Kumar Sharma along with officials from the CAG Audit Team, visited Shining Star, a successful beneficiary under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMGP). During the visit, the team interacted with trainees and obtained their feedback on the ongoing skill development initiatives.
The Principal PMTC lauded the organisation for its exemplary contribution in empowering women through skill development and gainful employment. The initiative stands as an inspiring example of women’s empowerment and self-reliance under the PMGP. PMTC KVIC Pampore is organizing various trainings across J&K viz cutting and Tailoring, shawl embroidery etc for the women folk. This visit today in the training centre namely Shining Start was also applauded by CAG Team.
Giving glimpses of her entrepreneurial journey Tawheeda started her journey in the year 2021 by taking loan of Rs. 25 Lacs under PMEGP. Not only making herself self employed, she is also having around 20 employees and giving wages Employment to hundreds of people mostly women folk thus giving surge to Women Empowerment . On the occasion Principal PMTC Pampore assured her full support in her entrepreneurial journey.
