Burglary case cracked in Awantipora, stolen property recovered

Awantipora, Apr 6: Police in Awantipora have arrested 2 burglars and recovered stolen property from their possession. Yesterday, Police Station Awantipora received a written complaint from Adil Ahmad Dar resident of Gulshanpora Tral, stating therein that some unknown burglars have stolen copper plates worth ₹1,13,000 from his shop located at Gulshanpora, Tral.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 33/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Tral and investigation was initiated.

Acting swiftly, a police party led by SHO PS Tral, following corroborating and digital evidence, were able to arrest two accused persons involved in the commission of crime. They have been identified as Owais Gulzar and Fayaz Ahmad Gojar, both residents of Gulshanpora Tral. On their disclosure, stolen property has also been recovered.
