Burglar arrested, stolen property recovered

Rajouri, Mar 7:  Police in Rajouri has arrested a thief and recovered stolen property over Rs four lakh from his possession.

Police said that on March 4, a written application was lodged by one Khalid Hussain Shah son of Gulzar Hussain Shah resident of Kheora wherein it was mentioned that he runs a well furnished service station at Bela Colony.

During the intervening night of March 3 and 4, as per complainant, some burglars broke open the front door of the service station and decamped with goods worth Rs four lakh which included grinders, polishing machines, and car accessories.

On receipt of this application FIR no 84/ 2024 U/Ss 457/380 IPC was registered at P S Rajouri and investigation set in motion, said police.

During investigation and with the help of technical analysis, one suspect was zeroed in who during questioning admitted to the crime and on his disclosure all the stolen items were recovered, police added.
