Bullet-riddled body of VDG recovered in Doda

Doda Police recovered a bullet riddled body of a village Defense Guard (VDG) and his service rifle (.303) in Kharangal area falling under Gundoh Police Station jurisdiction in Doda district on Friday.

Police sources said he was found dead under mysterious circumstances near his house .They said on getting information a Police team from Police Station Gundoh reached the spot and shifted the bullet ridden body of the VDG to nearby Hospital for conducting autopsy and other legal formalities.

They said his service rifle.303 and mobile phone were also found near the body.

Police identified the deceased as Balwant Singh son of Pream Singh resident of Kharangal Bhallessa.
