Budgam, Nov 9: Final Randomisation of polling staff designated for deployment across 173 polling stations for By-Assembly Elections to 27-AC budgam was held at Budgam.

The randomisation was held by the District Election Officer (DEO) Budgam Dr Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat  in presence of General Election Observer, Bhor Singh Yadav, deployed for 27-Assembly Constituency of District Budgam, said an official statement.  On the occasion, randomisation for micro-observers, women , PWD, and young polling stations was also conducted.

The randomisation was done as per the guidelines stipulated by the Election Commission of India (ECI), and in this process the Software generated Polling Parties are formed and allocated to the Constituency ensuring fairness and impartiality in the deployment of polling staff.

Besides , RO to 27-AC Budgam, Afroza Bano, and Nodal officer ETBPS Budgam, Majid Hussain,  were also present during the randomization process. It was informed that all the prerequisites are being fulfilled as per the ECI mandate for smooth fair and peaceful bye-elections to 27-AC Budgam.

Meanwhile, in order to facilitate smooth conduct of electoral process in District Budgam, to denote the end of campaigning period and start of silence period of campaigning, the District Magistrate (DM) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat issues Prohibitory orders under Section 163 BNSS throughout the District.

According to the order issued from the Office of District Magistrate Budgam, the restrictions have been imposed in District under Section 163 BNSS from 6pm on November 9 , 2025 (Sunday) till 6 pm on November 11, 2025 (Tuesday) in wake of the scheduled Polling in the 27 Assembly segment in the District and to uphold the sanctity of democratic principles.

The order further reads that there shall be ban on unlawful assembly as per the section 189 of BNS and any procession or rally shall be prohibited to prevent any law and order problem, and no person shall convene, hold , attend, join or address any public meeting or procession in connection with the Elections.
