BSF, Police conduct aggressive patrolling
Rajouri, Nov 24: Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police have increased aggressive patrolling as well as searches in border villages of Kathua and Samba districts of Jammu region, amid heightened security and high alert.
These aggressive patrolling as well as searches are going on, amid apprehensions of infiltration of terrorists, especially with the onset of winter season.
Officials stated, “A fresh security high alert has been issued for border areas of Jammu with prime focus on all the border villages and especially along notorious infiltration routes located near the International Border.”
Importantly, they said, areas along IB having deep ditches, rainy water channels with growth of high grass, called Sarkanda, were under close surveillance.
As a part of heightened security situation, area domination exercises, area domination operations, patrolling, searches were going on at a large scale.
They said, “On Monday also, the joint teams of BSF, SoG and Police carried out aggressive patrolling as well as searches in the border villages along Basantar river, Degh river, village Chakla and other areas of Samba district.”
Similarly, in Kathua, they said, intensive search operations were conducted in villages including Tangdevpur.
