BSF foils infiltration bid in R S Pura

Jammu, Sep 22: Border Security Force (BSF) Sunday stated to have foiled an infiltration bid in R S Pura sector of Jammu and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

“During the intervening night of September 21 and 22, 2024, the vigilant BSF troops noticed a suspicious movement. An intruder was observed approaching the BSF fence in the R S Pura border area, the alert troops thwarted the infiltration attempt,” PRO BSF Jammu said.

He stated that a thorough search was carried out in the morning. “During search operation, a huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered,” PRO BSF said.

According to him, recoveries included 2 pistols, 4 magazines, 20 (9 mm) rounds, one AK 47 rifle, two magazines 17 rounds.
