BSF apprehends intruder in Pargwal with arms
Rajouri, Dec 12: Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday apprehended an intruder on International Border (IB) in Pargwal sector of Jammu district and recovered a 30-bore MP5 weapon from his possession.
Intruder has been identified as Abdul Khalik, who reportedly hails from Rajouri district.
In an official statement, Jammu and Kashmir Police stated that Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended an intruder along with a weapon near International Border (IB) in Pargwal area.
Police stated that the individual was handed over to Police Post Pargwal of Police Station Khour for further investigation and legal action.
Official sources, meanwhile, informed that the apprehended intruder hailed from Ujhan village of Rajouri. “He had gone missing under mysterious conditions in 2021 and his missing report was also registered in Police Post Chingus. The matter is still under investigation,” they said.
Official sources said, “It is being suspected that the individual may have exfiltrated to the other side from LoC or IB in 2021 and may have joined terror ranks thereafter.”
“Prime facie, it is being considered to be a case of terrorism,” they added.
