Brother of former Jama’at-e-Islami district Ameer, associates join Apni Party

Srinagar, June 28: Manzoor Ahmad Magrey, brother of former Jama’at-e-Islami District Ameer Pulwama Riyaz Ahmad Margay formally joined the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party on Saturday. He joined the party along with his scores of associates and workers. He was previously associated with the ruling National Conference (NC), which he parted ways with to join with Apni Party.

In a statement issued, Apni Party spokesperson said that, “Manzoor Ahmad Magrey was warmly greeted by Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and other veteran party leaders as he joined the party fold.”

Speaking on the occasion, Bukhari said, “Welcoming Manzoor Sahib and his associates into the Apni Party gives me immense pleasure. I, along with the entire party leadership, wholeheartedly welcome them to the party. I am confident that Manzoor Sahib’s joining will further strengthen the party, especially in his native district.”

On this occasion, Manzoor Ahmad Magrey extended his gratitude to the party leadership. He said, “I have thoroughly understood the fact that the Apni Party’s agenda and policies are firmly rooted in the politics of truthfulness and the integrity of its leadership. I feel deeply satisfied to have become a part of this organization.”

Pertinently, Manzoor Ahmad Magray is a business tycoon and he was affiliated with National Conference (NC). He quit NC to join Apni Party.

Besides Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, the prominent party leaders who were present on the occasion included Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, Chairman of the Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Chief Spokesperson and State Secretary Muntazir Mohiuddin, Media Advisor and Media Panellist Farooq Andrabi, President of the party’s Women Wing Dilshad Shaheen, President of the party’s Youth Wing Yawar Mir, Provencial Organiser and in-charge Hazratbal Shabir Reshi, Spokesperson Ishrat Bhat, District President Srinagar Mohammad Shafi Mir, District President Pulwama Dr. Samiullah, District Secretary & Constituency In-charge Shopain  Owais Mushtaq Khan, Party Leader Sudarshan Singh, and others.
