BRO restores Badora diversion on Budhal–Mahore axis
Rajouri, Sep 22: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has successfully restored the Badora diversion on the Budhal–Mahore axis, re-establishing a vital lifeline for residents of the region.
The diversion, which was washed away by flash floods on 28 August 2025, had severed critical connectivity, affecting transportation, supplies, and emergency services across the mountainous belt.
Overcoming multiple challenges, the BRO officials said, 110 RCC (31 BRTF, Project Sampark) worked tirelessly, deploying round-the-clock operations and innovative techniques to bring the route back into service by 20 September.
Officials praised the team’s dedication, noting that their swift response and inventive approach prevented further isolation of remote villages dependent on the Budhal–Mahore axis.
Local residents expressed relief and gratitude, highlighting the road’s importance for access to healthcare, education, and essential commodities.
