Brazil holds 6th strategic dialogue with NSA Doval
New Delhi, Oct 4: India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met Celso Luis Nunes Amorim, Special Advisor to the President of Brazil, in New Delhi on October 3 for the 6th India-Brazil Strategic Dialogue.
Ambassador Amorim was accompanied by a delegation of senior Brazilian officials and advisors. The talks built on the five pillars of cooperation identified during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit to Brazil in July 2025. Both sides reviewed progress in the Strategic Partnership, covering defence and security, energy, rare earths and critical minerals, as well as health and pharmaceuticals.
The two delegations also discussed coordination in multilateral platforms including BRICS, IBSA, and the upcoming COP-30 climate conference, which Brazil will host in November.
In a joint understanding, India and Brazil agreed to advance efforts to implement the vision laid out by Prime Minister Modi and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to deepen the bilateral partnership
