Boy killed, man injured in tractor accident in Kalakote

Rajouri, Aug 9: A tractor accident in Khargala Beragoa village of the Kalakote area, Rajouri district, claimed the life of a 12-year-old boy and left another man seriously injured.

Police said the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Abrar, son of Mohammad Bashir, a resident of Beragoa, while the injured, Mohammad Toyib, son of Abdul Wahid, also hails from the same village.

The mishap, police officials said, occurred when the tractor they were travelling in veered off the village tractor road and overturned into a roadside drain.

Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to the hospital, where doctors declared Abrar dead on arrival while Toyib was undergoing treatment for serious injuries.

Police said that the investigation in the case has been pressed to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident, while a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in the Kalakote police station.
