Bovine smuggling bids foiled

Ramban, Mar 27: Ramban Police arrested three persons, seized three vehicles and rescued 25 bovine animals illegally being transported to Kashmir on Srinagar Jammu National Highway on Wednesday.

Police sources said on the directions of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar, Police teams of Batote and Chanderkote have foiled bovine smuggling attempts, arrested three bovine smugglers, rescued 25 bovines and seized three vehicles. They said a police team of Police Station Batota headed by SHO Batote while performing vehicle checking duty at Naka Nashri, on National Highway intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14F-4130.
