Bovine smuggling | 11 smugglers arrested, vehicles seized

Ramban, Apr 4:  Ramban Police arrested 11 bovine smugglers and also seized 11 vehicles used in the smuggling.

Police sources said on the directions of SSP Anuj Kumar Ramban Police have foiled several bovine smuggling attempts, seized 11 vehicles, arrested 11 bovine smugglers and rescued 45 bovines.

They said Police teams of Police Station Chanderkote and Ramban intercepted 11 vehicles heading towards Kashmir on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.

During checking 45 bovines were found laden inside the vehicles which were tied cruelly and were being transported illegally. As a result, a total of 45 bovines were rescued. Subsequently, 11 cases have been registered at the Police stations Chanderkote and Ramban.
