BOPEE organise awareness camps in Kishtwar
Kishtwar, Dec 13: J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations under the aegis of ARI & Training Department organised awareness programmes and camps in district Kishtwar. Two awareness programmes and camps were organised at Government Degree College Paddar and Dak Banglow, Chatroo.
The objective of conducting these awareness programmes and camps was to generate awareness among the people, students and PRIs about the different professional courses whose exams and counselling is being conducted by BOPEE during the session 2025-2026.
During these awareness programmes and camps, the major thrust was for awareness about admission to various engineering Courses, AYUSH courses, medical courses and paramedical courses based on 10th and 12th qualification, ANM and GNM, B Pharmacy and D Pharmacy, B Architecture and B Ed. The awareness programmes and camps were organised under the overall supervision of ARI and Training Department and in coordination with Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan with the assistance of PRIs, Educational Institutions, NGOs and other stakeholders.
The J&K BOPEE designated Nodal Officer Shabir Hussain Keen, the Secretary BOPEE, was accompanied by Zakir Hussain Khan, Section Officer.
Keen gave detailed information about the number of courses, colleges and procedures for admissions in all professional streams and colleges at both locations.
The detailed tentative schedule - name of course, intake, qualification, duration of the course, online registration date, entrance exam date and total colleges and institutions (government as well as private) for 2025-26 session in the shape of booklets were distributed among the participants on the spot. At Paddar, Asha workers, Anganwari workers, and other field functionaries were also aware of courses and were shouldered with responsibilities for dissemination to the people.
The designated Nodal Officer of District Administration CMO Kishtwar, Dr Rajinder Kumar, SDM Chatroo Naeem ur Rehman, Dr Sajjad Ahmad (Nodal Officer), BMO Paddar Dr Anil Sharma, BMO Chatroo Dr Saima Kripak, BDO Chatroo, Tehsildar Chatroo among others also participated in Camp and assisted in awareness.
Deputy Commissioner, who closely monitored both awareness camps and ensured that the third main awareness camp would be held on December 19, 2024, at district headquarters in Kishtwar along with other departments.
The detailed programme and schedule along with a list of all Colleges stands provided to the general public in both camps at Paddar and Chatroo.
The students and public demanded that such awareness camps shall be held in future also and urged JKBOPEE to keep exam centres at each district headquarters and all rounds of counselling too should be carried out through online mode.
