Bootlegger arrested, illicit liquor recovered at Chanderkote

Ramban, Nov 5: Ramban Police arrested a bootlegger and recovered a huge quantity of illicit liquor from his possession on Sunday.

Police sources said on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban Mohita Sharma Chanderkote Police launched a special drive against the sale of illicit liquor in the area. They said while on patrolling duty near Boom, Chanderkote one bootlegger who was illegally selling liquor was arrested and illicit liquor from his possession was recovered.

Police identified the bootlegger as Mangtulla son of Shamshu-Din resident of Govindpura, Maitra, Ramban. Case FIR No. 137 of 2023 under section 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote and an investigation set into motion.
