Srinagar, Nov 5: The two-day annual fest at Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS) in Pampore concluded on Sunday with a remarkable display of student talent and a focus on holistic development.

The fest, organised under the supervision of Principal Dr. MehnazRehman, was aimed to celebrate and promote the growth of students in various facets, including art, aesthetics, culture, science, innovation, and physical education.

The annual fest, a maiden event for the school, proved to be a resounding success, showcasing the students' diverse talents and fostering skills such as entrepreneurship and public speaking among the children.

During the two-day extravaganza, students from kindergarten to middle standard mesmerised the audience with their performances.

Parents were in awe, their emotions running high as they watched the incredible talent of their children on full display in front of a large gathering specially invited to witness the festivities.

The concluding ceremony was a sight to behold, featuring a wide range of activities. From impressive martial arts demonstrations to captivating dance performances and thrilling races, the students left an indelible mark on the audience.

One of the most heartwarming moments occurred when parents joined the celebration, actively participating in a game of musical chairs, adding a delightful flavour to the day-long festivities.

Former Chief Information Commissioner G R Sufi was the chief guest at the occasion while former director Animal Husbandry department Dr. Farooq Ahmad Kaloo and President Nageen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO) ManzoorWangnoo were also present at the event.

Speaking on the occasion, MunawarZamaan, one of the guests, drew a parallel between the functioning of the school and a four-wheeler vehicle. He emphasised that the school management, parents, students, and teachers are the four wheels of an educational institution, and they must work in perfect coordination to ensure the smooth running of the school.

The festivities also featured captivating dance performances by kindergarten students, who were dressed in colorful attire, enchanting the audience and leaving an indelible mark on all those in attendance.

The maiden annual fest at BOMIS Pampore provided a platform for the students to shine and demonstrated the school's commitment to nurture the individual.
