Body of missing youth recovered from river

Rajouri, Sep 02: Body of a 20 year old boy who was washed away in river has been found on day fourth of search operation.

Mohammad Yasir son of Mohammad Taj resident of Saroola village of Manjakote was crossing river on Friday evening when he slipped and was washed away in river water.

A search operation to locate his body was launched on Friday evening which was going on from last four days and was also joined by team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

Officials said that on Monday, locals spotted body of youth lying in river, atleast five kilometres downstream, after which teams of SDRF and NDRF recovered the body.

The body was later shifted to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri where medico-legal formalities were conducted.
