Body of man' missing since March 28 recovered from Jhelum in Sopore

Sopore, Apr 20: A decomposed male dead body was found floating over water in river Jhelum recovered by locals in Sopore town of Baramulla district on Saturday morning.

An official said that a fully decomposed male dead body was recovered by some locals at Kraltang area of Sopore town today morning and they immediately informed the police about it.

According to reports the man who was identified as Mohammad Maqbool Mir (70), was missing from his home in Mapanpora area since March 28.

Soon after intimation, a team of police reached to the spot and shifted the body to SDH Sopore for medico-legal formalities.

A case in this regard has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
