BLSKS launches awareness prog at Purmandal
Jammu, Feb 2: The Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) has launched a mass awareness programme regarding prevention of AIDS at Khara , Purmandal of Bari Brahmana in Jammu district.
A press release said, “To create awareness among the masses regarding prevention of AIDA and to promote the traditional culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with AIDA Control Society, Health and Medical Education launched a one week special AIDA Awareness campaign through Folk media.”
Today two programmes a musical play “Muskan ” and was presented through nukkad natak / short play. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Vijay Kumar Sharma, Principal, Government Higher SecondarySchool, Purmandal and Jyoti Jamwal, Headmaster Government Middle School, Khara, Zone Purmandal.
The chief guest speaking on the occasion said HIV is a virus that attacks the body’s immune System “.If HIV is not treated ,it can lead to AIDS,” he said.
Earlier welcoming the dignitaries DrM LDogra , Chairman , BLSKS explained about the ideals and the symptoms of the object of the programme.
