Blood donation camp organised at KMI

Srinagar, May 18: Khyber Medical Institute (KMI) on Saturday organised a voluntary blood donation camp in collaboration with the Department of Haematology and Transfusion Medicine, Government Medical College Srinagar.

On the occasion, people from different walks of life donated blood.  “90 pints of blood was collected in the camp. This kind of blood donation camp will help a lot in saving the lives of those who are in dire need of blood. This blood will be utilised in road traffic accidents, trauma, and in gynecological surgeries besides Cancer and Kidney failure patients,” said the Medical Superintendent of KMI and critical care specialist Dr Showkat Shah.
