Kupwara, June 15: Indian Red Cross Society Kupwara Unit Saturday organised a blood donation camp at Government Degree College (GDC) Handwara. This camp which was a collaborative effort of Army’s 21 RR, Police, Civil Administration, Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara and local social workers witnessed scores of blood donors.

The camp witnessed the participation of several notable figures including ADC Handwara Aziz Ah Rather and Tehsildar Handwara Zeeshan Khan. Members of Handwara Media Association (HMA) also contributed to the success of the event by donating blood and encouraging the youth to participate in such life-saving initiatives.

A momentous highlight of the event was the participation of Syed Imtiyaz, a renowned blood donor from the Red Cross Kupwara unit. He made history by donating his 70th pint of blood, setting an inspiring example for the entire community of north Kashmir.
