BJP to contest all 6 seats of J&K, Ladakh alone: Raina
Jammu, Feb 21: J&K Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Ravinder Raina Wednesday stated that the party would contest all five parliamentary seats of Jammu and Kashmir and one in Ladakh on its own and win also “with the support of people.”
“We hope that the people will vote for the party overwhelmingly and give all six seats to the BJP as a return gift to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has ensured unprecedented all-inclusive development of J&K, following his dictum of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas Aur Sabka Vishwas,” Raina said, while responding to a related media query, in a presser at the party office here.
“Right now, the party is fully prepared to contest all five seats of Jammu and Kashmir and one seat of Ladakh in the ensuing parliamentary polls. We are geared up to fight elections on our own. The Prime Minister has unleashed development bonanza here in J&K and Ladakh and ensured social justice to all, irrespective of region, religion and castes, after seven decades. For economic development of J&K also, the Prime Minister has shown his commitment with generous funding from the Centre. We believe that the people will also shower the same amount of love upon the Prime Minister and vote for the party,” he said.
Raina added that the people are grateful to Prime Minister for his liberal allocation of funds for unprecedented development in Jammu and Kashmir. He said participation by lakhs of people made the rally historical. He also thanked Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for allocating the development projects, inaugurating and their public dedication with a massive funding to the tune of Rs 32,000 crore.
“The people of J&K are indebted to PM Modi for his hearty allocation of funds to develop J&K. This is the love of PM Modi for the people of J&K, which has led to the unprecedented development in every region of J&K at the massive level. J&K is touching new heights in development, and peace is being established here,” said Raina.
The BJP President said that yesterday an ocean of people from all parts came to MAM stadium inside to listen to the Prime Minister. “People from hilly areas like Rajouri and Poonch as well as from all the areas of Kashmir attended the rally to thank PM Modi for all the welcome steps taken by him. For this enormous love, I want to thank people from all walks of life from all the regions of J&K for welcoming the PM braving heavy rains and snowfall. I am optimistic that this support will continue like this”, said Raina.
