Srinagar, Aug 26: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah on Monday said that BJP should handle its own problems.

"The BJP should look at its own house. Today, their offices were broken, and they are in a bad state. They should keep their house in order, while we focus on ours," Omar told reporters, KNs reports.

On seat sharing, Omar said that Kulgam seat has been left for CPM leader M Y Taragami as part of their electoral understanding. This decision came after a conversation between Farooq Abdullah and Taragami, ensuring a smooth path for the CPI (M) in this constituency, he said.

"We are fighting this election to win, and any program will be decided after receiving the people's mandate," he added.

He also clarified that manifesto discussions had not yet taken place with Congress, stating that each party would approach the election with its own vision and proposals.

On being asked about the exclusion of PDP from the coalition talks, Omar said that Congress, as the largest party in the INDIA bloc preferred to engage with the National Conference. "Who am I to force them to talk to someone else? They did not mention PDP, and the matter ends there," he added.

The former chief minister also expressed concern over the creation of five new districts in Ladakh. While congratulating the UT, he raised concerns about potential imbalances between Kargil and Leh.

"If five more districts have been created, then it will be unfair. We will have to see who has been unfairly treated," he said, urging a review of the decision to ensure equality.
