Rajouri, Jan 10: BJP MP Jugal Kishore Sharma on Saturday said that his party had no role in the National Medical Commission’s decision to withdraw permission for the MBBS course at Shri Mata Vaishnoo Devi Medical College, attributing the action to the college administration’s failure to meet mandatory requirements.

MP Jugal Kishore Sharma said that college administration failed to fulfil the requirement made mandatory by the commission and rules were being flouted and all these things came to fore during inspection of commission for which the permission has been withdrawn.

"We have nothing to do with this decision of NMC." Sharma said.

Responding to a question over electricity crisis Jammu areas during ongoing winter season, MP Sharma said that this all was happening because of electricity overload.

"We must understand the situation. Electricity demand has increased almost twice during winters which is amounting to heavy load and it is causing curtailment and subsequent electricity crisis." MP said.

He however asked Jammu and Kashmir Government to intervene in the matter and take steps to normalise the situation.
