BJP has been taught a lesson : NC’s Javed Iqbal

Rajouri, Oct 9: Javed Iqbal Chowdhary, who won assembly election from Budhal constituency as National Conference (NC) candidate, today said that the BJP has been taught a lesson by masses for its anti- people policies and for abrogation of Article 370.

“BJP has been taught a lesson for its anti- people policies as well as abrogation of Article 370,” Chowdhary said.

Javed, a former BDC Chairman, joined NC two months ago and fought elections on the mandate of party from Rajouris’ Budhal assembly constituency.

He defeated senior BJP leader and former Cabinet Minister Chowdhary Zulfikar Ali and that too with a huge margin of over 19,000 votes.

“My constituency areas are most remote and far flung areas of the district and we need hard work on all fronts. Education will remain my top priority as our education sector is the worst affected one,” the NC leader said.

He mentioned about poor condition of schools in his constituency and added, “There are a number of schools which are building less while majority are running with shortage of basic facilities.”

Javed Iqbal Choudhary also referred to unemployment problem and said creating employment for youth is important.
