Jammu, Sep 22: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President and Union Minister for Health J P Nadda Sunday accused Congress and National Conference of running the agenda of Pakistan as its “certified agents” and said that his party (BJP) was imperative for peace in J&K.

While addressing public rallies at Barnai, Greater Kailash and an ‘Intellectuals meeting’ at Jammu, Nadda said, “Congress-NC duo was “certified” as Pakistan agents by none other than the Pakistan Defence Minister himself. They (NC, Congress and PDP) are not nationalist forces and that is why they are talking about reviving terrorism by restoring Article 370, releasing terrorists and initiating dialogue and cross-LoC trade with Pakistan. People need to remain cautious of them as their coming to power would guarantee the return of terrorism and old dark days in J&K.”

He asserted that the days of terrorism were numbered during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s regime in J&K which was witnessing a wave of change but these “non-nationalist forces” were trying to enter into a pact with them (terrorists) to bring it (terrorism) back.

“National Conference, Congress and PDP are working on the agenda of Pakistan and want to push J&K towards unrest and revive terrorism here. They want to have a 90s-like situation when thousands died due to militancy. The NC-Congress combine is misleading the people by promising restoration of Article 370,” Nadda said.

“Article 370 is history now and no one can bring it back. Today, there is one constitution, one flag and one PM,” he said. “Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s dream has been fulfilled by PM Modi.”

He said that BJP’s victory in J&K was essential for the interests of the country and J&K as well and added that there was a strong wave in favour of BJP and it would form its next government here.

Under PM Modi’s leadership, J&K would be the most developed State of the country and India would soon become the world's 3rd largest economy, Nadda said.

He said, “Today, India’s name is held in such high esteem globally that it no longer gets mentioned alongside Pakistan, which has remained stagnant in its growth.”

He urged the people of Jammu to vote for BJP candidates saying, “BJP is a guarantee to peace and development.”

Nadda further said that under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, Indian politics adopted the principle of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas" (inclusive development), establishing accountability and transparency in governance.

He said that rather than distributing money, the Modi government empowered people by supporting the weakest sections of society with investments worth Rs 1.25 crore.

Later in the evening, Nadda took out a road show in Jammu city, starting from Parade Ground and passing through Moti Bazaar, Old Mandi, and Raghunath Temple.

In another development Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal, National President Ankur Sharma today joined the BJP. He was welcomed into the party fold by BJP National President, J P Nadda.
