Jammu, Feb 18: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership in J&K is going full throttle to make the ensuing public rally of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jammu on February 20 a “mega event” as by any means it will be its formal launch of campaign for 2024 elections.

Right from motivating people from all parts of the Jammu region and even from Kashmir to attend the rally and to make arrangements at the venue i.e., pitching of tents, other paraphernalia, the distribution of jobs has been done in a meticulous manner.

As a senior leader, overseeing the arrangements, maintains, “For us, this is a very significant event therefore the leadership wants to make it as perfect and trailblazer event as possible. After all, it will set the pace for election campaigning for BJP in J&K for 2024. Security aspect, of course, does not come under the domain of the party so it is being taken care of by the right quarters.”

The nitty-gritty of arrangements has not overlooked the prospects of inclement weather conditions presently prevailing in the region and this includes water-proof tents, giant pumps for dewatering in the event of water logging at the venue i.e., M A Stadium. Senior party leaders are monitoring the arrangements. The party is anticipating a gathering of around one lakh people in the rally.
