Jammu, Apr 5: Gearing up for the visits of its star campaigners, including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, J&K Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has constituted several committees to ensure impressive turnout in their election rallies.

To begin with, the party mainly focussed on the election rallies of its top three campaigners viz., Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The party has prepared an impressive line-up for its star campaigners, who will follow the trio in the days to come to participate in electioneering for its two candidates in Jammu region.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a rally in Udhampur in the stadium named after him on April 12; Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to address rally at Manhas Hall in Janipur in Jammu on April 9 while Yogi Adityanath will address a campaign rally in Kathua on April 10.

Inputs have suggested that the Union Home Minister may also include a visit to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine to pay obeisance there, in his campaigning itinerary.

J&K BJP spokesperson Sunil Sethi, however, said that the official communication vis-a-vis Union Home Minister’s rally was still awaited.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir BJP Media Relations Department Co-Incharge, Balbir Ram Rattan, in an official handout, informed that over a dozen national leaders of the party would be visiting the UT to campaign for the BJP candidates in the second phase.

In addition to it, the names of over two dozen senior leaders of Jammu and Kashmir are in the list of prominent ones for campaigning.

“Besides Prime Minister, Narendra Modi; BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda; Union Home Minister Amit Shah; Defence Minister Rajnath Singh; Highways and Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari; Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur; Women & Child Development Minister Smriti Irani; UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath; Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma; Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami; former CM Jairam Thakur; Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar are scheduled to visit J&K to campaign in the second phase,” he said, in the official statement.
