Srinagar, Mar 02: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir unit is immensely busy in finalizing arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Kashmir Valley on March 7, with party leaders expecting a huge crowd comprising over one lakh people to attend the mega rally being held at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.

A meeting of the BJP J&K leaders was held here in connection of preparations and arrangements for the rally, wherein tasks among different sections of the party were distributed and leaders were asked to mobile people at grassroots level.

“A high-level meeting took place today regarding arrangements for PM Modi’s rally. The leaders were assigned task and asked to mobile people in valley,” BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur said.
He asserted that over one lakh people are expected to attend the rally.

Thakur also said that another meeting on March 4 would be held which will be attended by BJP General Secretary & J&K In-Charge Tarun Chugh. “Chugh will review the party preparations for the rally,” he said.

The party senior leader and former cabinet minister Sunil Sharma said that PM Modi’s March 7 rally would be huge and asserted BJP will emerge victorious in the upcoming Parliamentary elections.

“Today we had called all the district presidents and senior leaders. Discussions were held regarding the numbers in this rally so that people can attend it from different places. There is a lot of excitement about the rally. There is a lot of enthusiasm about this rally in Kashmir as well as across the country,” Sharma said.

He said there was enthusiasm among the people in Kashmir “where the BJP was regarded as untouchable before”.

Sharma added that people from all walks of life across the country have pinned their hope on PM Modi due to his people-friendly approach and works done for the welfare and upliftment of poor.

Today, every poor, every person, woman and elderly have full faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and you will get to see that yourself on March 7,” Sharma added.
