BJP carries out road show for its Lal Chowk candidate
Srinagar, Sep 21: Tens of hundreds of supporters gathered for a roadshow led by BJP candidate Engineer Ejaz and senior party leaders, marking a significant moment in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Assembly election campaign.
The roadshow, which stretched from Balhama to the heart of Srinagar's Lal Chowk, saw a good turnout, demonstrating the support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The event was attended by Chairman Haj Committee A P Abdullakutty, BJP leader Manzoor Bhat and others.
Abdullakutty, addressing the roadshow emphasized the significance of Prime Minister Modi’s frequent visits to Kashmir, underscoring his personal commitment to J&K s growth. "The Prime Minister's repeated visits to Kashmir have sent a strong message of his dedication to the youth," Abdullakutty said.
"Today's roadshow is a resounding affirmation of that bond. The Kashmiri youth are embracing the BJP's vision for progress and development, and Engineer Ejaz is the beacon of hope for a brighter future."
In his address, Ejaz highlighted the positive reception he has received while campaigning across Kashmir. "I'm overwhelmed by the love and support from Kashmiri youth, which reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dedication to their well-being," he said. "As I go door-to-door, I seek votes based on the transformative impact of Modi's initiatives over the past decade."
Ejaz exuded confidence that the upcoming Assembly elections, set for September 25, would witness significant voter turnout in his favor. "The youth's enthusiasm is palpable, and I’m grateful for their affection," he added. "I’m confident that on the 25th, the people will come out in large numbers to cast their votes in my favor."
"Today, I proudly say that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has understood the pain of Kashmiri youth and found solutions to address their concerns," Manzoor Bhat said. "Under his leadership, Jammu and Kashmir has transformed, and peace has finally returned to the Valley."
Bhat cited several initiatives launched under Modi’s leadership, including the Mustaq Bill, which he hailed as a "game-changer" for employment opportunities in J&K. "We're committed to providing employment opportunities and empowering our youth. We’ve already made significant strides in development, putting pens and jobs in the hands of our young people," Bhat said, underscoring the importance of employment as a key electoral issue.
The roadshow highlighted the BJP's focus on development and employment."We have full confidence that the people will recognize our efforts and vote for Engineer Ejaz on the 25th, ensuring his success," he said.
The roadshow’s success was made possible by the hard work of several key BJP leaders, including former SMC Corporator Wajhat Hussain and BJP leaders Asif Masoodi, Uzair Beigh, Towheed Bazaz, Abid Mir, and MY Dar.
