Earlier, the  NC Vice President led a rally in support of party candidate Nasir Aslam, who filed his nomination papers today.  He also addressed his party workers and supporters.

Omar warneds the people against falling for the division of votes. He said, “Er Rasheed's release is a ploy to divide votes, but I trust the intelligence of the people to see through this manipulation. We cannot afford to have our voices fragmented when our very identity and dignity are at stake. It is imperative we stand  united and resolute against such tactics.”

He criticiced the BJP for openly trying to divide votes in the valley by supporting its proxies. Urging the people of north Kashmir and beyond, Omar said, “Do not let the BJP's tactics succeed. If anyone wants a BJP-led government in J&K, they should support AIP, PC, and Apni party. In the valley, the BJP is symbolised indirectly by a “bat,” a “pressure cooker,” and an “apple.” It is crucial to understand that every vote for these parties ultimately strengthens the BJP and its Kashmir agenda. Make no mistake - every vote for these parties is a vote for the BJP.”
